When you are suffering daily with the pain of a broken heart, there is one central question you need to ask yourself:
Do I want to continue to suffer this pain for the rest of my life?
Many people think this is the only option and the fate they must endure forever. Many become accustomed to finding themselves in tears at odd moments throughout their days when they think of a loss. Others believe their loss has destroyed their happiness and sense of security, and now feel that they will be bitter and joyless forever.
That is not the case. You have options that can move you out from under this cloud.
Evidence-Based Distinction
We at the Grief Recovery Institute are proud to say that research at Kent State University has shown that The Grief Recovery Method approach to helping grievers deal with the pain of emotional loss in any relationship is "Evidence-Based" and effective. We are also proud to say that our program is the only Grief Support Program to have received this distinction.
If you are here trying to find personal support in dealing with an emotional loss, WE ARE HERE TO HELP.
People often say, “You have to let go or move on in your life,” but they don’t tell you how.
The Grief Recovery Method, developed and refined over the past 40 years, makes that possible.
We offer group and one-to-one Grief Recovery Method Support Programs to assist grievers, regardless of the emotional loss.
Certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist Cleo Santiago leads each of these programs.
Trained by the Grief Recovery Institute, Cleo Santiago is not just a trained professional, but also an individual who uses the same action plan to deal with loss in his own life. Therefore, he understands the pain of grief on a personal level.
Unlike traditional therapy, The Grief Recovery Method® comes with a pre-established framework, a distinct focus on grief, and a limited number of meetings.
The Grief Recovery Method® is an educational experience, not therapy. Since most people have never been given practical tools for dealing with grief, they are not equipped to manage it on their own. Grief is the normal and natural reaction to loss. It is not a pathological condition, nor is it a personality disorder.
In a one-on-one program, you’ll work directly with Cleo Santiago, Grief Recovery Method Specialist. You’ll be very supported throughout the process.
You’ll go through The Grief Recovery Method alongside other participants in a group format. Please know that we won’t share your work through the process with the entire group. We will partner you with one person, and both will share (you will not be receiving feedback from other participants- only from your Grief Recovery Method Specialist) to ensure you feel safe and comfortable.
